ZANDAR TO PRESENT VIRTUAL VIDEO MONITOR DISPLAYS SEMINAR
AT IFSEC 2005
March 21st 2005
Dublin, 21 March 2005 - Zandar Technologies, a leading technology
innovator and pioneer in MultiViewer systems, will present Virtual
Video Monitor Displays at the IFSEC 2005 Business Development
Seminars. The seminar will be presented by Killian OSullivan,
Technical Director at Zandar in the Business Development Zone, Hall
6 between 12.45pm 1.15pm on Thursday, 19th May 2005.
This practical seminar will introduce the concept of the Virtual
Monitor Wall to view multiple sources from cameras, PCs, DVDs and
VCRs at the security control room desk. The virtual monitor wall
allows each operator to view images that are crystal clear through
the real time, full motion and high resolution graphical display.
Moreover the operator is able to manipulate the various displays
to get an overall vision of the areas he or she needs to monitor.
As the requirement to monitor more CCTV sources increases,
a challenge exists to display large numbers of video sources in
confined control room spaces, explains Deirdre Smith, CEO
at Zandar Technologies. Real estate is at a premium and the
ability to dynamically configure a monitor wall to suit the monitoring
needs of the moment offers a useful and flexible alternative to
stacks of TV monitors.
The seminar will offer comprehensive guidance on the use of large
screen high resolution displays, the fidelity of the display and
the type of processing that is performed to render multiple video
images to the wall. The benefits of such systems including cost
will be outlined as well as any potential pitfalls and how to avoid
them.
Typical applications and case studies in CCTV and control room applications
will also be addressed outlining how the use of multiple input display
processors, in conjunction with high resolution displays, has vastly
improved the security monitoring function.
Deirdre Smith adds, Dedicated to the security industry, this
is the first time that Zandar is to present a seminar on Virtual
Monitor Walls. We are delighted to offer companies a unique opportunity
to learn about multi-screen display technology. The seminars are
a very effective way of preparing security companies for investment
into the new technology. The Zandar seminar is free to attend
and is a must for anyone involved in purchasing, installing or specifying
security products and services.
