ZANDAR IN COMMAND AT STATE-OF-THE-ART COUNCIL CCTV CONTROL CENTRE

Dublin, 1 February 2005 - With the growing convergence of the
Broadcast and CCTV markets, Zandar Technologies, a leading technology

equipment has been selected for a new state of the art, high resolution
CCTV monitoring system at Warrington Borough Council in the UK.
With the emphasis on safeguarding Warrington Borough and its public,
the customer required a cutting edge control room facility to improve
local surveillance and replace ageing CCTV monitoring feeds undertaken
from an outdated control room. They decided to build a new 24-hour
security monitoring control room facility to improve their continued
commitment to combat crime, and which allows local police to regularly
visit to obtain images for evidence. Central to this new facility
is a command wall system which uses a Zandar MultiViewer system
displaying real-time multi image views of pictures captured from
all over the district.
The flexibility of the Zandar MultiViewer enables Warrington Borough
Council to concentrate on their prime objectives by allowing them
to combine, view and manipulate the various sources they need to
monitor.
This technology enables operators, with the simple click of a button
on any area selected on the screen, to easily view all of the security
cameras in that area. User macros have also been set up, enabling
a group of cameras to be selected in specific areas of the borough,
such as all of the popular nightspots in the town centre, in order
to monitor the cluster of cameras in that location.
