Provide NEW Flexible Features & Options for Multi-Image Display
Applications
Dublin, Ireland – New features and options for the
FusionPro High-Resolution Video Display Processor from Zandar Technologies
plc, a leading developer and global provider of multi-video display
solutions, will make their European debut at IBC on stand #8.238,
September 12-16.

The FusionPro along with the new features is being shown on a variety
of display devices at IBC including Christie Digital SXGA rear projection
cubes, Eyevis SXGA rear projection cubes and Clarity Visual Systems
40” Direct View LCD Bobcat Displays.
New features on display include:
• In-Picture Audio Monitoring of analog, AES/EBU & SDI
embedded audio
• HD Inputs
• Z-Manager multi-system control software with support for
graphics and audio
• StudioPro Advanced Monitoring Module
The FusionPro High-Resolution Video Display Processor combines our
proven multi-window display technology with our most powerful image
processor to date. The FusionPro carries a range of plug in processing
cards and associated i/o, enabling users to combine input formats
- analog video, SDI, computer and HD which is NEW for IBC - in the
one system. The cards can be used in 3RU or 1RU frames. The
FusionPro supports up to 13 dual-channel input cards in a 3RU or
4 dual-channel input cards in a 1RU chassis or from 8 to 26 real-time,
high-resolution – up to SXGA (1280 x 1024) and UXGA (1600 x
1200), scalable windows on a single large screen display. The modular
chassis is designed to provide robust solutions for large-scale
audio-visual display applications including Command & Control,
Virtual Monitor Walls, Presentation, Video-conferencing and Control
Rooms.
The modular 3RU chassis has a dual redundant power supply and along
with the 1RU has easily accessible front-loading processing cards,
and support for local and remote control. Pristine image quality
is achieved through a combination of 10-Bit RGB outputs, an advanced
video rendering engine and dynamic phase adjustment for accurate
pixel mapping.
Zandar’s FusionPro 3RU has been in use in a number of key installations
since March 2002. Some of these installations include Mellon Financial
Corporation Pittsburgh, Star TV Hong Kong, The European Broadcasting
Union and WIN Television Network Australia.
Optional software for both the 3RU and 1RU allows user configuration
of displays (Z-Editor), and multi-system control (Z-Manager) –
Z-Manager NEW for IBC, while options also exist for UMD/Tally, hot-swappable
front-loading redundant PSU, Dual Output Display and in-picture
audio monitoring of analog, AES/EBU is provided by plug in cards
- NEW for IBC - and SDI embedded audio – NEW for IBC.
Also NEW for IBC is Zandar’s new Advanced Monitoring Module,
StudioPro. Combined with the FusionPro 3RU modular rack, StudioPro
is an Advanced Monitoring Module that provides an integrated and
intuitive interface to the operator for the set-up, operation and
maintenance of the virtual monitor wall. StudioPro enables graphically
enhanced displays, the inclusion of logo or bitmap files, and the
display of clocks. StudioPro allows alarm conditions to be logged
to file and provides a single interface for the control and configuration
of multiple systems via LAN.

the demands of modern television facilities going beyond the display
and monitoring of video and audio signal, the traditional monitor
wall has been replaced by a Virtual Monitor Wall, which is a controllable,
re-configurable, intelligent visual information system.” Smith
continued by saying, “The operator has instant visibility of
each source, whether composite, SDI, HD-SDI, RGBHV or audio level
meters, immediate and visual alert of fault conditions, clear display
of channel idents, tally status, clocks and VBI data. Nothing is
left to chance and redundancy, robustness and serviceability are
as important as image resolution and picture quality in critical
installations.”
