Dublin, Ireland – The Racing
Network International (TRNi), a venture of Greenwood Racing, which
owns Philadelphia Park, early this year reached an agreement with
British-based Attheraces to broadcast American races in Britain.
To do this cost-effectively, TRNi decided to install Zandar DX MultiViewers
in their facility in Philadelphia Park. TRNi uses the DX's to output
a preview channel in their production area where they then sand
live American horse racing feeds to Attheraces via fiber circuits.
Attheraces then preview the events and choose which race they want
to use as their program feed for the viewing public in the UK, which
TRNi then provides via another fiber circuit. Communications between
TRNi's respective control rooms are done using real-time intercom
circuits, again using fiber.
