ZANDAR HELPS DUTCH PLAN FOR FUTURE DISASTER RECOVERY

Zandar
Technologies has announced further success in the security and
emergency monitoring market with the recent installation of a
FusionPro 1RU MultiViewer in one of the first permanent disaster
regional control centres in Venlo,
Holland.
For this project, Visual Display Solutions provided the Zandar
equipment to systems integrator, Emhaes Visual Communications.
Venlois a high-risk area located close to the German border.
There are 28 cities in the area and a large chemical plant.
The centre can support each city in the event of accidents or
disasters such as major fires, smoke and chemical hazards and
disease prevention such as bird flu. The centre has been operational
since November 2005 and has so far enabled fire departments, police,
medical teams, ambulances and local government to successfully
manage several small disasters.
The
Zandar
FusionPro 1RU MultiViewer is configured using 4 RGB inputs and 4
video inputs for the display of road maps, computer data, helicopter
images as well as national and local television at the Regional
Command Centre. Images
are displayed on a 3x3 array of Clarity video wall cubes and
operators control and manipulate all audio and video sources through
a matrix router. Each
plasma screen uses a touch panel controller from Visual Display
Solutions to control each individual input.

The FusionPro 1RU MultiViewer has the flexibility to configure
the monitor wall display using a user-selectable high resolution
output and editing software to customize screen layouts and aspect
ratios. It is operated
using an advanced video display processing engine that
simultaneously handles any input source types and optimises these
for large screen display. With
the ability to combine up to 8 analogue and computer sources -
including cameras, broadcast television, DVRs, maps and alarms -
this system displays high-resolution (1,366 x 768 pixels) real-time
images and features on-screen source identification, making it the
perfect solution for control room monitoring.
