MAORI TV SELECTS ZANDAR FUSIONPRO+

Dublin, Ireland - April 13th 2006 –
Several FusionPro+ MultiViewers
from Zandar Technologies, a
leading technology innovator and pioneer in MultiViewer systems,
are installed in a new control room at Māori Television based
in
Auckland, New Zealand. The complete system
was designed by systems integrator, Gencom Technology.
Māori Television
was launched in March 2004 with a mandate to promote and revitalise
the Māori language and culture to a wider audience.
Proving to be popular television for its
New Zealand
audience, a second studio
for daily news production was commissioned in early April 2006
further adding to its indigenous broadcasting capabilities.
Recently
introduced into the marketplace, the enhanced FusionPro+
MultiViewer systems are used in the new control room and utilize
images from 40 inputs, including cameras, mixer outputs and remote
feeds for the high-resolution and large-screen display across two
Clarity Baycat 46-inch LCD panels.

The Zandar units are directly compatible with the LCD
technology used achieving the best image quality possible.
The flexibility of layout changes is also a strong benefit.

the seamless configuration and set-up of our layout options"

now has the highest available display resolution and scaling
quality, giving us the best possible image onto the Baycats at real
HD resolutions (1920x1080). The visual result is really impressive

Designed
with future expansion in mind, both FusionPro+
units can accept a further 12 inputs (26 inputs for each MultiViewer).
The system combines
multiple inputs in all common formats such as analog video, SDI,
HD-SDI auto-detected, RGBHV computer sources, DVI sources, and
audio, all in one system.
The
modular FusionPro+ MultiViewer can
support
high definition resolutions of up
to WUXGA and 1080p ensuring that it is future-proofed for high
resolution HD monitoring. The
standard monitoring facilities available across the FusionPro+
have been additionally boosted to also offer automatic aspect ratio
management,
support
of further dynamic UMD protocols as
well as the intuitive SNMP messaging of in-built alarms over a LAN
network. "We're
