fast growing Irish Company devoted to the design and development of
leading edge video display products. Founded in 1993, Zandar is very
well established internationally in the TV, broadcast and
professional video markets as well as the Audio Visual and
Confidence Monitoring markets. We provide innovative and

Zandar throughout the years
1994 – 1998 The OmniVideo Series, MVG
Series and VMX Series
Zandar began this crusade in 1994 with the
launch of the Video Montage and Switching Video Montage - Mosaic
Channel Generators for Cable TV. Compact, easy to use and flexible,
these popular tools were the fore-runner to the OmniVideo Series of
multiple video and graphics products announced in 1996 at Telecon
XVI in
Los Angeles
, where the MVG2 and MVG6 cards were featured.
The MVG16 was recognised at NAB'98 as one of the Top 20 Best new
products on show and that year saw further new product
announcements, including the VMX-6, VMX-16 and VMX-64 standalone
MultiViewer systems.
1999 – 2003 Introduction of the digital
MultiViewers: the DMX Series, the FusionPro Series
NAB'99 saw the first showing of Zandar's Digital MultiViewer, the
DMX-16. Our entry level MX Series was first shown at NAB 2000 and
its sister, the Digital DX Series was announced at NAB 2001.
2002 saw the launch of the
new HiResolution FusionPro Series of MultiViewers. This modular
MultiViewer was well received by the industry, it allowed Zandar to
better support applications such as Commands & Control, High-end
Monitoring and AV.
2004 – 2005 The birth of Predator and
FusionPro+
In 2004,
Zandar launched the brand new high resolution Predator
Series MultiViewer which quickly became one of our most
successful creations to date. Aimed at the emerging worldwide HDTV
market, the Predator was an instant hit with customers worldwide. It
provided instant space and cost savings over the use of multiple
HDTV displays.
In 2005,
Zandar launched the next generation of their modular MultiViewers,
the FusionPro+
range. It gives customers better form, functionality and
flexibility and is one of Zandar’s flagship products.
2007: Innovation makes the difference, Zandar
pushes the boundaries of the MultiViewer
IBC 2007 saw the launch of the two latest
additions to the Zandar product portfolio. Rooted in innovation and
“thinking outside the box”, both products were immediately
recognised as being best of breed technical innovations and received
rave reviews at launch!
The Predator
II MultiViewer: Widely
anticipated, the next generation of Predator MultiViewers is
specially designed for Command and Control in either a broadcast
environment or indeed a confidence monitoring environment (link). Predator
II received the IRDG Award for Innovation in October 2007.
The QS100HD
Quad card: Zandar have now
compressed the MultiViewer into a card format! This MultiViewer in a
card ideally suited to the Outside Broadcast market (link). The
QS100HD Quad received two awards at IBC 2007: the “Best of IBC
2007 Editor’s award” from TVB Europe and the TVT STAR Award.
Into the
future
Zandar Technologies is a company that is
focused on technical innovation. Research and Development is central

Zandar was acquired by Harris Corporation
on November 29th 2007. The combination of both product portfolios
aims to offer customers a broader and more creative selection in the
area of MultiViewers. They will also benefit from the result of this
combination that broadens the size, resources and research
capability of Zandar Technologies like never before!
